Nabii Eliya alikuwa anafanya nini?

BELIEVE JESUS WITHOUT REJECTING CULTURE

“Student Believes Jesus Without Rejecting Culture”

During high school, the God described in Christianity did not make sense to me because I did not believe in miracles, I did not understand why God would allow evil in this world, I could not

comprehend why a loving God would send people to hell, I did not want to serve God or be manipulated by Him because I wanted to serve myself, and everyone I knew who did believe seemed to feel that way only because they grew up in a religious family. In other words, their

faith in God seemed like it was based on family tradition, not truth.

Yet four years later, after I had become a Christian, I came to

believe that living my life in accordance with what God wants for it is wiser and more important than how my parents, my peers, society, or I believe I should live my life because an all-knowing and all-powerful God knows what is better for me than any person can know.

It is clear that over the course of four years, I made a definite

shift in what I believed about God, religion, and especially Christianity. Today I want to share with you the events that changed my heart from being someone who questioned the existence of God to

someone who now seeks His will for my life. In addition, I want to discuss some of the obstacles I faced in becoming a Christian due to my ethnic heritage.

While I was in high school, my sister was in college and she became a Christian. When she did, I was curious about why she would claim to believe something that opposed the beliefs of our cultural heritage. Although my parents were raised as Hindus, they never formally introduced my sister and me to the beliefs of that religion. But because religion and culture are closely linked in Indian society, many Indians believe that the culture a person is born into determines the religious beliefs of that person. Also, the close connection

between religion and culture often causes Indians to believe certain things about the universe even when they personally may not identify with a particular religion.

As a result, I grew up believing many Hindu ideas even though I did not consider myself to be a Hindu. For example, I believed that if there was a God, that many paths would lead to Him or It. In other words, I thought that all religions were true, at least partially. Also, I thought that Christianity was a religion for people in the West, while religions like Hinduism, Sikhism, and Buddhism were for people in the East. Since I felt this way about religion, my sister's

decision to become a Christian made me curious and confused. But since my sister independently came to believe in Christ, and I had always admired my sister's judgment, I began to wonder if the claims that the Bible made about God were in fact true.

For the next two years, my sister and I would have conversations

about the existence of God, but nothing she said ever changed my mind. One day she gave me two books to read: Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and More Than a Carpenter by Josh McDowell. I read both of them and discovered two interesting things about Christianity. The first thing I noticed was that Christian faith does not hinge only on philosophy, but the validity of historical events that could be proven as true or false: namely Jesus Christ's life, crucifixion, and resurrection. The second aspect I noticed about Christianity is while most religions claim that people must live a perfect life to be reunited with God after death, Christianity admits that humans are not perfect and that

some other route must be provided to be with God after death. The

combination of these two elements in Christianity made me realize that although religions may have some similarities, the striking differences between them demonstrate that they cannot all be true; either they are all incorrectly describing God or one of them is correct. Because

Christianity's basis and claims were so different from other religions I knew about, I wanted to learn more.

Early in my sophomore year in college, I used to talk a lot with a Christian friend of mine from high school. Since I knew he was Christian, I would ask him questions about what he believed and why. Because I had so many questions, he told me about something called an

investigative discussion group for non-Christians who were interested in finding answers to their questions about God and Christianity. I started going to one and got answers to questions like "How do you know God exists?", "Why is Christianity the only way to God?", and "If God loves us so much, why do people go to hell?". After a year of asking questions and challenging the leaders of the group about what they believed, the intellectual doubts I had about Christianity were erased.

Yet, somehow this was not enough for me. The Christians I talked to told me that God was relational and actively loved us. I could not believe in Christ unless I actually experienced Him in my life, so I prayed that God would reveal Himself to me. As months passed I began to notice little things such as the differences between people who lived a life with Christ and those who did not. Those who did seemed confident in decisions they made because they knew God helped them make their decisions. I also noticed the love that they demonstrated towards others, even non-Christians, out of love for God in their obedience to Him. Although I knew non-Christians who were "good people", they lacked the inner peace of knowing that something

more powerful than them was in control of their lives, for their benefit. Seeing the increasing differences between Christ-led and self-led lives over the next few months made me realize that

living a life with Christ is better than living one without Him.

But even after realizing this, I was afraid of how my parents and

friends would react if I became a Christian. I was particularly concerned about what my parents would think because I knew they did not approve of my sister's faith in Christ. My father felt that Christianity was too exclusive because it ruled out alternative views of God and the universe. He did not dispute the Christian claim that Jesus was God, but he said that religious figures like Krishna and Mohammed were also manifestations of God that were sent to meet the needs of the people at that time in that place. My mother, on the other hand, felt that rejecting Hinduism meant that we would be rejecting our culture. She was afraid that our family in India would view her as a bad mother because her children rejected the beliefs of Hinduism, while embracing the claims of Christianity. Also, she was afraid of the increasing likelihood that we would not marry Indians because there are few Indian Christians, and very few Hindus would consider marrying a Christian.

When my parents presented these objections to the idea of me

becoming a Christian, I seriously considered them. Yet, because I had experienced Jesus' love in my life and I knew that all religions cannot be true, I found that I could not agree with my father's objections. As for my mother's objections, I viewed religion and culture as two separable things, and I knew that I would be able to embrace my Indian culture even though I did not agree with my religious heritage. Also, I realized that because I believed in Christ, I was willing to risk displeasing my parents and relatives to have an eternal relationship with God. In other words, it is not worth rejecting an eternity with God for the approval of my parents, friends, or non-believing society.

It was only then that I felt I came to a point where I was confident enough with what I believed that I was ready to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. If you are earnestly seeking God, but you do not know Jesus, I encourage you to pray that God will reveal Himself to you. In Luke 11:9-10, Jesus tells his disciples, "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will

be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

God was faithful in answering my prayers to know Him, and He will be faithful in answering yours.

THINK ABOUT THIS......

THINK ABOUT THIS:

You know About Moses and the people who were in the desert? But, do you know what he was supposed to do with them?

They had to be fed, and feeding 2 or 3 million people requires a lot of food.

According to the Quartermaster General in the Army, it is reported that Moses would have to have had 1500 tons of food each day.

Do you know that to bring that much food each day, two freight trains, each at least a mile long, would be required! Besides you must remember, they were out in the desert, so they would have to have firewood to use in cooking the food. This would take 4000 tons of wood and a few more freight trains, each a mile long, just for one day.

And just think, they were forty years in transit.

And Oh yes!

They would have to have water. If they only had enough to drink and wash a few dishes, it would take 11,000,000 gallons each day and a freight train with tank cars, 1800 miles long, just to bring water!

And then another thing!

They had to get across the Red Sea at night.

Now, if they went on a narrow path, double file, the line would be 800 miles long and would require 35 days and nights to get through. So there had to be a space in the Red Sea, 3 miles wide so that they could walk 5000 abreast to get over in one night.

But then, there is another problem...............each time they camped at the end of the day, a campground two-thirds the size of the state of Rhode Island was required, or a total of 750 square miles long........ think of it!

This much space for camping.

Do you think Moses figured all this out before he left Egypt? I think not!

You see, Moses believed in God.

God took care of these things for him.

Now do you think God has any problem taking care of all your needs?

I asked the Lord to bless all who read this as I prayed for you today, to guide you and remind you His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we let Him take control He will see us through.

Our God is an Awesome God!! Just remember I'm praying and God will do the rest.

PEACE WITH GOD

Peace With God

Jesus Christ LIVED. Jesus Christ DIED and ROSE AGAIN.

Accepting this will change your life forever
.

Jesus Christ can change your life in a way you never thought possible. Living without meaning? Purpose? Hope? Wandering in a world that just doesn't make sense? You can have peace in this life and the next through the acceptance of Christ Jesus as your savior. Find out how you can find that peace TODAY!

Step One
God's Purpose: Peace and Life

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life--abundant and eternal.

The Bible says...

"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10

So, why is it that some of us don't have this peace and abundance?

Step Two
The Problem: Our Separation

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. And, God gave us a will and a freedom of choice.

We chose to disobey God and go our own way. We are making this choice even today, and we do so freely, and in doing so we have separated ourselves from the Lord.

The Bible says...

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

The Bible says...

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." Proverbs 14:12

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2

No bridge reaches God...except one.

Step Three
God's Bridge: The Cross

Jesus Christ died on the Cross for us and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between us and GOD.

The Bible says...

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ." 1 Timothy 2:5

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." 1 Peter 3:18

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Step Four
Our Response: Receive Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.

The Bible says...

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20

"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12

"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

Where are you?

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?

Here is how you can receive Christ:

1.Admit that you are a sinner.
2.Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
3.Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
4.Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

How to Pray: Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.

In Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Assurance: His Word

If you prayed this prayer,

The Bible says...

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8,9

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE in the divine inspiration of the whole Bible and therewith the infallibility of the Holy Scripture which is God's Word, and in the eternal Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and shed His blood to save mankind. He died and arose bodily the third day and later ascended into heaven.

A GIRL I CAN ........IN MA LIFE

She must challenge me to the highest through absolutely honest criticism of me. When she is disappointed in me, she must never withdraw her confidence, and untiringly she must help me to overcome my weak sides. I don’t want a servant girl but an equal partner who stood by ma side before God and this partnership include the right to criticize.

When does the marriage begin? The bibl says that the marriage is mystery. You cannot explain the mystery. You can only keep penetrate the mystery and you never get the end of it. The beginning also depends to the mystery.

What Can I Do? Please Help me!

I Love A Young Girl………

Dear friend, Wednesday, October 19, 2005.

I am writing to you because I’m very upset. I haven’t heard anything from my girl friend for almost four weeks.
She has spoken and written a great deal about you. That’s why I dare to turn to you now.
You already know how we turn each other. It was in the church. My aunt was living near one village at Tarime district where I used to attend the miser. My GF (Anne) was living near my aunt’s resident were one day his mother was sick and Anne was unable to get asleep himself in his room.
The next day he continued her trip, and went on her mother village. As you know, she had lost her job as a school matron because of getting into trouble with a boy.
Ever since I have never going to school in Y. We have written to each other almost every day. But since the beginning of June, he has not answered my letters.
I am very worried. What shall I do? Can you help me?

Yours,
Eng. Peter

LOVE & MARRIAGE

I guess I tend to think more realistically than most boys about stuff like marriage

Most people of my age are practically engaged or married by junior year…needless to say, though I am reasonable in my thinking, I am also fairly naïve (Extremely simple and trusting) about the whole love/marriage thing.
I re-wrote it, from a slightly older, slightly more experienced perspective on the whole thing. By then I had gotten into (and out of) a relationship, and had seen people around me get married and realized the reality that marriage brings. I again think I am reasonable in my thinking…however, I now realize that the experience of love itself changes me completely…and this is the experience that was needed from my mother’s domestic training to fully develop…and this is the experience that I am lacking. INTRODUCTION TO NAVAL WIPONS ENGINEERING

Introduction to Naval Weapons Engineering

Radar is an acronym for Radio Detection and Ranging. The term "radio"
refers to the use of electromagnetic waves with wavelengths in the so-called radio
wave portion of the spectrum, which covers a wide range from 104 km to 1 cm. Radar
systems typically use wavelengths on the order of 10 cm, corresponding to frequencies
of about 3 GHz. The detection and ranging part of the acronym is accomplished by
timing the delay between transmission of a pulse of radio energy and its subsequent
return. If the time delay is Dt, then the range may be determined by the simple
formula: Enjoy this here for more

Code division multiple access (CDMA)

Code division multiple access (CDMA) is a form of multiplexing (not a modulation scheme) and a method of multiple access that does not divide up the channel by time (as in TDMA), or frequency (as in FDMA), but instead encodes data with a certain code associated with a channel and uses the constructive interference properties of the signal medium to perform the multiplexing. CDMA also refers to digital cellular telephony systems that make use of this multiple access scheme, such as those pioneered by Qualcomm, or W-CDMA.

CDMA is a military technology first used during World War II by English allies to foil German attempts at jamming transmissions. The allies decided to transmit over several frequencies, instead of one, making it difficult for the Germans to pick up the complete signal. Because Qualcomm created communications chips for CDMA technology, it was privy to the classified information. Once the information became public, Qualcomm claimed patents on the technology and became the first to commercialize it. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

GET KNOWLEDGE ON GENERAL PACKET RADIO SERVICE (GPRS)

General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a mobile data service available to users of GSM mobile phones. It is often described as "2.5G", that is, a technology between the second (2G) and third (3G) generations of mobile telephony. It provides moderate speed data transfer, by using unused TDMA channels in the GSM network. Originally there was some thought to extend GPRS to cover other standards, but instead those networks are being converted to use the GSM standard, so that is the only kind of network where GPRS is in use. GPRS is integrated into GSM standards releases starting with Release 97 and onwards. First it was standardised by ETSI but now that effort has been handed onto the 3GPP Click here for more

Dont Make Technical Issues to be story

Engineer faces the music over building scandal

Some of us Engineers does what they don’t know and makes strange like what happened at Chang’ombe Village Hotel. But may be is just for those lazy/ignorant engineers who don’t care about their technical working principals.
Read this…………..
The Prime Minister, Edward Lowassa, has suspended the Temeke Municipal Engineer, Ayubu Bahati, for turning a blind eye to a construction project of a four-storey building that collapsed on Friday.

The developer didn’t have the requisite documents for the project, which was undertaken shoddily, thereby posing grave risks to the would-be occupiers upon completion.

Part of the ground floor served as a bar in which some patrons were having recreation, and from which most fled to safety upon sensing trouble, as well as heeding loud, desperate messages from outside, that the building was collapsing.

Some bodies have been recovered from the rubble and a yet to be specified number of people are feared to have died in the wake of the incident that shocked many residents of Dar es Salaam and beyond.

Speaking at the site yesterday, the visibly angry and upset PM announced: ’’I am suspending the municipal engineer immediately, until further notice.’’

As he spoke, Lowassa pointed a finger at the engineer, who was placed under police custody shortly afterwards, alongside Temeke Municipal Director Iddi Nyundo.

The pair will be questioned on the project, an annex of the Chang’ombe Village Hotel.

Besides the dead and injured, the incident has produced at least one psychological victim one Mama Massawe, wife of the owner of the ill-fated building.
